The Section of Nuclear Medicine of the Department of Radiology at Wake Forest School of Medicine offers an ACGME accredited one-year fellowship program in nuclear radiology. The training program includes classroom, training and experience in nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, positron emission tomography (PET/CT) as well as in Theranostics. The fellowship is designed to provide the trainees an in-depth experience in all areas of clinical nuclear medicine, both diagnostic and therapeutic. The fellow is taught the basic principles upon which the field of nuclear medicine is founded, including: Radiation physics, Radiobiology, Health physics, Instrumentation, Radiopharmacy.
