Head and Neck Radiology Fellowship
Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School
Massachusetts Eye and Ear is a premiere subspecialty hospital within the Massachusetts General Brigham Health system and a Harvard teaching hospital. We are at the forefront of care for ophthalmology, otology, laryngology, sinus, skull base, and head and neck cancer patients. We offer a one-year, non-ACGME-accredited fellowship in Head and Neck Radiology. Fellows will participate in all aspects of patient care within the department including interpretation of CT, MRI, and US examinations, and performing biopsies under US or CT guidance. Clinical research will be expected and supported with dedicated research time. The department performs over 500 head and neck imaging studies and over 20 image-guided procedures per week. The fellowship offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain exposure to a tremendous breadth of head and neck pathology including pediatric and adult neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, facial plastics and reanimation, laryngology, otology and neurotology, sinus, and skull base and head and neck cancer. Radiologists work closely with MEE physicians as well as medical and radiation oncologists from Massachusetts General Hospital. Examples of some current and ongoing research within the radiology department includes investigation of hearing loss, Meniere disease, cone-beam CT imaging, optic nerve imaging, advanced orbital imaging techniques, dual-energy CT techniques, and ultrasound for head and neck cancer imaging. We welcome candidates who will have completed a 2-year or 1-year Neuroradiology fellowship by the start of the Head and Neck Radiology fellowship. We will also consider candidates who will have completed a diagnostic radiology residency without a fellowship, but who demonstrate unusual drive, motivation, clinical proficiency, and a career aspiration in Head and Neck Radiology.
