The Department of Radiology at the University of Washington is recruiting for an Second Year Neuroradiology Fellow to join an academic group comprised of 15 neuroradiology faculty and nine first-year fellows for the 2021-2022 academic year starting on July 1, 2021. This is a one-year position intended to follow a first-year neuroradiology fellowship and allows dedicated academic/research/teaching time as well aa functioning as an attending training radiology residents and first-year neuroradiology fellows.
The neuroradiology section provides clinical coverage and teaching at four medical centers (University of Washington, Harborview, Northwest, and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance), all with state-of-the-art equipment, including six 3 Tesla and five 1.5 Tesla MR systems, 8 CT scanners, two dedicated neurointerventional angio suites and four PET-CT. The department also has an extensive imaging research lab that includes two dedicated whole body research 3T MR magnets.
Candidates for this position must hold an M.D. or equivalent. Candidates should possess, or be eligible for, full medical licensure in Washington State. Candidates must have completed a neuroradiology fellowship in an accredited program and be CAQ-certified or eligible in neuroradiology. Candidates will be expected to perform clinical work in all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology. The successful candidate should have demonstrated commitment to an academic career as documented through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at regional and national meetings. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services
