Assistant or Associate Professor of Radiology - Nuclear Medicine

The Division of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Virginia’s Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging seeks applicants for a full-time clinical faculty position. Rank and tenure are dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The selected candidate will participate in all clinical activities, including general and cardiac scintigraphy, SPECT, SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and radionuclide and targeted therapies as well as providing clinical and treatment consults. The faculty member will be expected to contribute to the education of our trainees as part of our ACGME training programs and work with current faculty to expand the Nuclear Medicine Division’s clinical, educational and research programs. The selected candidate will also assist and support the Nuclear Medicine Division as it continues to build strong clinical, educational and research collaborations with other faculty members in the Division and Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, as well as with other departments within the University.

Candidates must have an MD or an equivalent degree, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications or Board Certification in Nuclear Radiology (ABR) or Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or their equivalent. Post-graduate professional experience in molecular Imaging and target therapeutics and a proven record of publications, academic achievement, teaching, and clinical experience are preferred. It is highly desired for candidates to have or seek extramural funding to support their academic endeavors.
