Imaging Technologist Interventional

M Health Fairview is looking for an Imaging Technologist Interventional at Fairview Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists provide services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

This is a benefit eligible 0.6 FTE (48 hours per 2 week pay period) position

This position includes:

On call for evening, night and weekend

• Woodwinds offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients.
• We have outpatient access seven days a week.

The Imaging Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The interventional technologist assists with invasive procedures in the Interventional angio suites, collects and assesses image data and performs scrub role assisting the radiologist.

Maintains patient care

• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the procedure.
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocols.
• Proficient in patient preparation and sterile tray set up.

Ensures patient data integrity

• Performs examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
• Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
• Accurate and timely identification and uploading of images into

Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

During invasive procedures is able to achieve and maintain homeostasis manually or with mechanical device of physician choice when required

Assists the Radiologistrequired catheter and wire manipulationwhile maintain the required sterile technique

Required:

Vocational/ Technical training or Associate Degree in Diagnostic Imaging or related

ARRT registration

Preferred:

ARRT IR certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire

1 year experience as a Interventional technologist
