We are looking for a Radiology Aide to join our team! This day/evening position will work 48 hours per pay period including an every other weekend rotation and is located at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood.
The Radiology Aide provides assistance as requested to Radiology Department staff, patients, and nursing personnel.
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
Assists the radiologic technologist and radiologist with procedures to facilitate patient flow.
Provides appropriate patient safety measures to ensure delivery of quality patient care.
Develops films to ensure maintenance of patient flow.
Prepares room set-up to ensure availability of procedural needs.
Transports patients to maintain patient flow.
Assembles and files radiology jackets to ensure timely examination processing.
Maintains supply inventory to ensure availability of required items.
Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.).
Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, coworkers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.
