The Department of Radiology of the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans seeks an affable physician for an academic faculty position in the Interventional Radiology division at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). Our department is dedicated to excellence in patient care, education and scholarly activity.
LSU Radiology provides multi-modality radiology services for University Medical Center – New Orleans. This is a new state of the art facility supporting 350+ beds and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in South Louisiana, the Norman E. McSwain, Jr, MD, Spirit of Charity Trauma Center. We are a collegial group looking for an Interventional Radiologist to join our 3-physician Interventional Radiology team. Responsibilities will include all aspects of Interventional Radiology - procedures, outpatient clinical care and inpatient clinical care. Beeper call will include weeknights, weekends and holidays, with ample time off. This is a wonderful opportunity for an Interventionalist to practice cutting edge Interventional Radiology in a stimulating environment. Special consideration will be given to those with an interest in building our IR/DR residency, and expanding and enhancing the Interventional practice. There are ample opportunities to engage in clinical research. We are offering a very competitive salary with additional pay for beeper call. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with School of Medicine and LSU System criteria.

Interventional Radiology Fellowship or IR-DR Residency
ABR certified in IR/DR or on the pathway to full-board certification
