The Department of Radiology has an opening for a full-time faculty member in the Diagnostic Division, at the rank of Instructor as a Radiology Assistant (RA) (RPA). The successful recruit will be required to perform various diagnostic procedures and exams as well as assists the radiologists in performing exams. The role works in conjunction with physicians. The position is responsible for providing clinical imaging services in addition to:
Will perform imaging procedures according to established protocols and under direct supervision and when necessary personal supervision of a radiologist.
Fluoroscopic GI and GU examinations
Fluoroscopic and/or US guided diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal injections/aspirations
May include thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, PICC placement
Participate in teaching and training of residents and fellows.
Consulting on work in progress and completed work to assure accuracy
Providing physician prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
Participating in the quality assurance program to conform to federal, state, local, and hospital regulations and guidelines.
Working effectively with patients, co-workers, residents, physicians, and supervisors.
