Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Incumbent works under the supervision of the supervisory CT technologist. Works independently on the great majority of exams but confers with radiologists on more difficult problems. Competencies signed off by the supervisory CT technologist. Prioritizes exams in a manner so as to optimize scanner times while maintaining flexibility for emergency cases. This requires the ability to prioritize scheduled patients as well as the ability to accommodate the emergency patient who may need immediate emergency surgery, etc. Coordinates patient-prep and transportation, if needed, for the emergent and scheduled patients.
