The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites candidates with strong clinical, operational, Leadership, and research credentials to apply for the position of Physician (Neuroradiology), GP-0602-15, with the Radiology and Imaging Sciences Department (RADIS) at the NIH Clinical Center, Bethesda, MD. The NIH Clinical Center is the largest hospital in the world dedicated to translational clinical research. The hospital maintains a 200-bed capacity that supports the intramural research programs of Institutes and Centers across the NIH. The hospital supports an extensive range of research participants who are patients with long-standing relationships with their Institute’s care team.
Candidates must be neuroimaging experts with substantive technical and clinical practice skill sets appropriate to a clinical research setting.
They should have demonstrated experience in a primarily clinical but also academic setting. The candidate should possess an M.D., D.D.S., or D.O. (or equivalent) degree. Board certification in diagnostic radiology from the ABR and training in an ACGME-accredited neuroradiology fellowship is preferred. A track record of excellence in performing imaging/neuroimaging research for at least ten years, establishing strong research collaborations, or leading an independent imaging research program is highly desirable.
