The Manager, IT Imaging Services position is responsible for leading a team of professionals who will implement and support Radiology PACS and Cardiology PACS systems throughout the ProHealth System this includes all clinical modalities, integration and lifecycle clinical imaging information management. The manager must function within a fast-paced environment and possess superior customer service and problem-solving skills. The manager will supervise and motivate the team to achieve success meeting aggressive timelines with superior results.
Advanced analytical and decision-making skills necessary to resolve employee and operational problems and assist in the development of departmental budgets.
An understanding of PHC health care delivery system and the impact of other health care delivery systems on the patient and family.
Works closely the CIO/VP of Information Services to oversee and coordinate strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives.
Works with the administrative management and M.D. leadership of radiology and cardiology to identify present and future needs for equipment requirements.
Attends seminars and training sessions to maintain appropriate level of professional competence.
Management skill to effectively evaluate and administer corrective action to staff.
Interviews, hires, orient, and manages several clinical medical imaging personnel. This includes developing the IT staff to be as effective as possible in supporting the system and IT operational needs of the Imaging Services area.
Works with the Director, developing an organization to meet the current and future needs of covering the information technology system of the cardiovascular and radiology departments for all ProHealth Care.
Works closely with the IT Director of Technology Infrastructure to develop operating standards, policies, and procedures.
Acts as a liaison to clinical business owner’s and service lines for support of daily operations
Coordinates training needs of the IT PACS team.
Assists the Clinical departments with any training supplements on how to use various imaging systems.
Prepares reports for administration on all aspects of PACS operations as appropriate or directed; attends and participates in departmental/hospital meetings.
Responsible for the day-to-day overall operation of PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, prefetching, and other related activities.
Oversees activities of vendors in all phases of installation, implementation of new systems and support services for existing systems.
Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and customers.
Reviews feedback from end users, compiles and analyzes support data, and recommends procedural and educational changes as appropriate.
Works closely with Radiology, cardiology, perinatology, surgery, neurology, vascular, general surgeons, urgent care, and emergency department personnel to provide support, identify future system needs and to design efficient workflow processes.
Familiar with providing “white glove” service to key end users
Coordinates and works closely with the Director of Technology Infrastructure to develop an operational budget and IT capital for imaging areas that have Digital Imaging requirements.
Perform and carries out assignments in order to maintain system integrity with maximizing up-times
Ability to utilize specialized computerized equipment and supplies when needed.
Conforms to HIPAA/Privacy regulations as defined and directed by the Information Security Officer And Privacy/Compliance Office.
Ensures all applicable department, hospital, and regulatory guidelines are met.
Has the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, both verbally and in writing;
Self-motivated, independent, and ability to learn quickly;
Ability to work under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects;
Excellent written/oral communication skills; and
Strong adult teaching skills preferred

Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree)
Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred)
Experience 4 years
Additional Requirements Preferred education and background specifics:
Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiological technology or related field, preferred
Knowledge of clinical work flow within all departments that produce or use medical Imaging studies for the enterprise wide coordination of clinical image and data information
Have some working knowledge and background of the infrastructure equipment that supports the Imaging systems
Experience with cloud storage and Vender Neutral Archiving is highly desired.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
CIIP, ABII, CPAS preferred.
At least 4 years related technical experience.
Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiological technology or related field, preferred.
Knowledge of clinical workflow within all departments that produce or use medical Imaging studies for the enterprise-wide coordination of clinical image and data information.
