Job Summary
The University of Colorado Department of Radiology is seeking a fellowship-trained, Interventional Radiologist to join the Interventional Division at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor. This is an opportunity to join a growing academic practice with an extremely well engaged team of physicians and advanced practice providers who perform virtually all image guided therapies in the hospital system. There are currently 9 faculty interventional radiologists & 5 APPS who cover the main academic campus and a community hospital in the southern suburbs of Denver. In addition to this faculty position, we are adding an additional APP due to growth in the department. The Interventional Radiology Division is an integral part of the University of Colorado Cardiovascular Center & we perform approximately 16,000 cases per year in 7 angiography suites within the cardiovascular center at the University of Colorado Hospital. Clinical areas of strength include Interventional Oncology, Peripheral vascular disease, women’s health, and biliary intervention. We have a very active PERT team & are engaged in multiple clinical trials involving embolization, DVT management & Pulmonary Embolism management. We also have a strong biliary endoscopy program and a growing extramurally funded health services research program that focusses on disparities in health care delivery related to IR.

The University sponsors an Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency with 2 residents per year and an independent residency with a complement of 2 residents.
Duties
This physician will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional procedures daily. Call burden is generally 1 in 10. All faculty are allocated 20% academic time for their academic pursuits. The position is open to established researchers with further academic needs that would require more protected time based on research/academic productivity. All faculty are expected to teach in didactic lecture and in daily interactions with the residents.
Minimum Qualifications (applies to all ranks)
Assistant Professor:
- Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License at time of hire, ABR Certification or eligible by time of hire, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible by time of hire
Associate Professor:
- Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License at time of hire, ABR Certification or eligible by time of hire, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible by time of hire
Professor:
- Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License at time of hire, ABR Certification or eligible by time of hire, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible by time of hire
Salary Range:
Assistant Professor - $425-$475k
Associate Professor - $425-$475k
Professor - $425-$475k
Salary is commensurate with years of experience

Required Competencies (applies to all ranks)
Competency is required in the performance of diagnostic arteriography, vascular intervention, oncologic intervention including intra-arterial and percutaneous therapies, biliary, genitourinary, and GI intervention
Preferred Qualifications (applies to all ranks)
The individual would have a proven interest in the development of new & expanded clinical service lines in interventional radiology. Prior experience in an interventional radiology practice but an interest in being part of an academic group would be preferred.
