Unexpected Opening Cardiothoracic Fellowship - 2023

The University of Maryland has an opening for a fellowship in the Section of Thoracic Imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore beginning in July 2023. The integrated training includes all aspects of cardiopulmonary imaging, including cardiac CT/MR, chest CT and chest radiography. The program includes a strong teaching commitment from 8 cardiothoracic faculty with a daily morning teaching conference within the section. Support for research or other educational experience is also provided. The department has state-of-the-art equipment (3T and 1.5T MR, multiple state-of-the-art CT scanners including several dual energy systems, PET/CT scanner). All studies are interpreted on a system-wide PACS system.

The flagship University Medical Center has 800 beds, and Radiology services are also provided for the all-PACS Baltimore VA Hospital that is on the University campus. In addition, we cover 5 system hospitals. The University offers very competitive salary and benefits, time for academic pursuits, and funding for continuing medical education. Applicants must have passed ABR core exam or be ABR certified, and meet the requirements for Maryland licensure.
