Job Summary The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Denver is seeking applicants for a full-time Thoracic Radiologist and faculty member in the Cardiothoracic Section. We are interested in candidates at any stage of their career from the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. The University of Colorado Hospital is a 620 bed tertiary care center that is the #1 ranked hospital in Colorado, and top 20 in the nation according to US News and World Reports.
Duties The section has a strong regional and growing national reputation and is currently composed of 5 radiologists. It performs the full range of both thoracic and cardiac imaging including radiography, CT and MR. The section participates in multiple multidisciplinary conferences across campus including Interstitial Lung Disease, Thoracic tumor board, CTEPH patient selection committee, Aorta conference among others. There is a Cardiothoracic Imaging fellowship jointly administered with National Jewish Health. There is extensive departmental and institutional support to achieve the clinical, teaching and research missions of the division.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at:
Assistant Professor- $400,000 - $450,000
Associate Professor- $400,000 - $450,000
Professor- $400,000 - $450,000
Faculty are eligible for bonus.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Required Competencies (applies to all ranks)
Highly developed clinical, education, research and leadership skills in Thoracic Imaging. Ability to work with a diverse population of healthcare providers and patients. High degree of emotional intelligence and substantial experience in interdisciplinary collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications (applies to all ranks)
We are an academic medical center, and highly value and expect our faculty to perform research as part of their duties. The successful applicant should have a proven interest in clinical research and will be given dedicated time to develop their academic career.
