ChristianaCare, a dominant leader in the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced Board Certified Neurointerventional Surgeon with 5-10 years post fellowship experience and CAST or Equivalent Certification, to join our well-established high-volume team in Newark, Delaware. This physician will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with neurovascular disorders, using minimally endovascular procedures.
Qualifications:
BC Diagnostic Radiology
BC Neuroradiology
Fellowship training in Neurointerventional Radiology
CAST or Equivalent Certification
Requirements and Responsibilities:
100% neurointerventional position
Perform diagnostic cerebral angiography, embolization, mechanical thrombectomy and other neurovascular interventions
Collaborate with world-class specialists and departments including vascular neurologists and neurosurgeons, as well as other multiple other professionals across the institution
Stay current with the latest technologies, procedures and medications related to the field of neurointerventional surgery
Participate in clinical research and trials to advance the field of neurointerventional surgery
Strong diagnostic and interventional skills with excellent judgement and decision-making abilities
Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical professionals
Dedication to providing the highest level of patient care and safety

This Neurointerventional Surgeon will join a multidisciplinary team of 4 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers at Delaware's only Comprehensive Stroke Center.
18 dedicated Neurocritical Care beds, 6 Transitional Neurology Unit beds, 2 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit beds, and 25 Stroke Treatment and Recovery Unit beds.
