Sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 available. This is a Monday-Friday position with no weekends, no call, and no holidays!
Responsible for providing patient services using medical ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures.
Performs appropriate ultrasound procedures and records anatomical pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.
Assists the physician in gathering sonographic data necessary to diagnose a variety of conditions and diseases.
Obtains reviews and integrates pertinent patient medical history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.
Provides patient education related to medical ultrasound.
Records and processes sonographic data.
Provides patient services in a variety of medical settings.
Performs quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring proper safety standards are met.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $30.74 - $49.18 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree required. A degree in diagnostic medical sonography preferred.
Experience: No experience required. Diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.
Licensure: ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification required. Registered Vascular Technologist certification required within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, and reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
