The Division of Pediatric Radiology at UPMC/University of Pittsburgh, one of the largest pediatric radiology services in the nation, is currently accepting applications for a pediatric neuroradiologist. Pediatric radiologists who are interested in a mix of both body and neuroradiology are also being sought. This position will join the pediatric neuroradiology division, currently consisting of 5 pediatric neuroradiologists. Duties will consist of a mix of clinical and teaching research responsibilities, with research opportunities as desired. In addition to daytime work, there is a daily evening shift (5 pm – 11 pm) that is divided among the neuroradiology faculty; the majority of weeknight evening shifts are currently covered by staff residing in the Pacific Time Zone. Applicants must have an MD degree or equivalent, must be board-eligible or certified in radiology, and must be eligible for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania. Fellowship training in pediatric neuroradiology, or equivalent experience, is required.
The Division, based out of the stand-alone Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, consists of highly-skilled, fellowship-trained pediatric neuroradiologists, pediatric interventionalists, and pediatric radiologists who provide specialized imaging, diagnostic interpretation, and offer cutting-edge interventional procedures. Children’s, a 1.5 million-square-foot facility located in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh, has consistently appeared in U.S. News & World Report and Child magazine’s best pediatric hospital rankings. As one of the world’s only green pediatric hospitals, Children's features private rooms, a dramatic healing garden, and research tower. In addition to services at Children's, Division faculty also cover neonates at Magee-Women’s Hospital of UPMC, and provide radiology services at Children's north, east and south ambulatory care centers.
Teaching opportunities include supervision and education of imaging fellows and residents from the University of Pittsburgh as well as additional affiliated, highly regarded residencies. With over 4 million dollars in funded grants, a large research lab and ample opportunities for mentoring and collaboration, the Division of Pediatric Radiology offers a collegial atmosphere, cutting edge innovation, and the opportunity for personal and career satisfaction.
We offer a competitive compensation plan ($460K+ rank based), productivity incentive, inclusive of paid time off, CME allowance, malpractice coverage, 401K, comprehensive benefits package, as well as both remote and hybrid work opportunities. Interested applicants should send a CV and letter of interest to UPMC Radiology Recruiting at RadRecruiting@upmc.edu. Your CV and letter of interest will be shared with the Division Chief for review.
