The Department of Radiology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, associated with Hofstra-Northwell Medical School, Department of Radiology, is actively seeking a full-time (or part-time) Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) of New York is a 202-bed tertiary pediatric hospital performing approximately 70,000 examinations a year. It is the largest provider of pediatric health services in New York State and serves 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk counties. CCMC has a new inpatient hospital with a state-of-the-art, dedicated Emergency Department. It is a Level I Pediatric trauma Center and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit with a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant unit. Are you Made for this?
Work on-site at Cohen Children’s Medical Center but have flexibility to live on Long Island, Queens, Manhattan or lower Westchester.
Potential opportunity to work on-site at Northwell’s Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan – but participate in CCMC call
Regular Academic Time – 1 full day/week

Clinical responsibilities include all aspects of Pediatric Radiology (plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI). Service coverage includes Cohen Children’s Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, as well as several community hospitals remotely.

Qualifications:
D. or D.O degree and be board certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology, CAQ certified or eligible and qualified for licensure in New York.
Expertise in all areas of Pediatric Radiology (except Neuroradiology) is a must.
The successful candidate will also have dedicated time towards scholarly activities and will be expected to teach medical students, residents and fellows Participation in several multidisciplinary conferences is also required.
The Pediatric Radiology division is a growing group of 5 dedicated pediatric radiologists. There are two new dedicated Pediatric MRI machines (1.5T and 3T), two CT scanners, two new Siemens flat panel fluoroscopy unit, and 3 ultrasound suites. There are Pediatric Ultrasound technologists 24-hours a day.
A new separate Pediatric Neuroradiology division has also been established, which includes two dedicated Pediatric Neuroradiologists.
Research activity is encouraged and supported with abundant opportunities through a departmental research division and with the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
The CCMC is located on the border of Queens and Nassau County, Long Island, and is approximately 15 miles from Manhattan.
