CT Technologist duties and responsibilities The primary responsibility of a CT Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. Some common CT Technologist job duties and responsibilities include: Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging Examining images to ensure they’re usable Updating patient medical information
