The Imaging Service at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a full-time, permanent staff physician in Nuclear Medicine. Qualified candidates must have completed a Radiology residency and demonstrated experience in interpreting a broad range of nuclear medicine studies, including general nuclear medicine, cardiac nuclear studies, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT. Primary responsibilities include routine and emergency reading, interpretation, and documentation of nuclear medicine reports for both outpatient and inpatient cases, as well as supervision of nuclear medicine therapies.

Our department engages in advanced academic research in molecular imaging, theragnostic, and imaging outcomes. We operate a comprehensive imaging suite, including three cutting-edge PET/CT scanners, gamma cameras, and SPECT/CT systems. Our PET program utilizes various radiotracers such as FDG, amyloid tracers, and PSMA, with plans to incorporate cardiac perfusion PET modalities in the future.

We also maintain a robust theragnostic program, offering targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies for conditions including prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and bone metastases (e.g., Pluvicto, Lutathera, and Xofigo), in collaboration with Oncology and Radiation Oncology services.

Nuclear Medicine professionals collaborate extensively across disciplines—including Cardiology, Oncology, Endocrinology, Neurology, and Surgery—to provide integrated, patient-centered care. There are numerous opportunities for academic engagement within the Cleveland medical community.
