The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University School of Medicine is seeking board eligible or board-certified radiologists with expertise in cardiothoracic imaging for a full-time faculty appointment. This hybrid role offers opportunities on either the Academic Clinician or Clinician Educator Scholar track, with academic rank commensurate with experience, training, and accomplishments.
The Cardiothoracic Imaging Division is a highly respected team of 13 radiologists known for delivering state-of-the-art, timely, and high-quality imaging services across the Yale New Haven Health System. The division includes both thoracic and cardiac imaging specialists and maintains strong collaborative relationships with leading pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, cardiologists, and other subspecialists. Faculty members are actively involved in education across all levels of radiology and cardiology training. Clinical sessions are performed at Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, located in vibrant Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret a full spectrum of cardiothoracic imaging studies, including advanced CT and MRI of the chest and heart.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including pulmonology, cardiology, oncology, thoracic surgery, and pathology.
Participate in clinical service across Yale New Haven and Bridgeport Hospitals.
Contribute to the division’s educational mission by teaching residents, fellows, and medical students.
Engage in academic activities aligned with the chosen track (clinical excellence, education, or research).
Support service development and quality improvement initiatives within the division.
Participate in leadership opportunities and professional development based on interest and experience.
Maintain board certification and stay current with advances in cardiothoracic imaging.

Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
Completion of a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging
Licensure Requirements
Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Connecticut.
Must obtain and maintain a valid Connecticut medical license throughout employment.
Certification Requirements
Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Diagnostic Radiology.
Subspecialty expertise in cardiothoracic imaging, including proficiency in both thoracic and cardiac CT/MRI.
Additional qualifications such as Level II or III training in cardiac imaging (CT/MRI) are preferred but not always required, depending on the role and institutional needs.
