PRIMARY FUNCTION: To perform patient registration and scheduling in a busy Breast Center, including obtaining financial and clinical information, insurance data and authorizations. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Register and schedule patients efficiently and accurately. - Obtains identity, insurance and/or workers compensation information - Answer and route call in a high-volume Breast Center - Requests and obtains medical records in preparation for patient's arrival - Obtains outside studies for comparison for radiologist. - Connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers - Mail and/or fax or send reports to physician offices - Responds to requests for urgent or emergency cases work
