Earn a Yale MBA tuition free while working as an Emergency & Trauma Radiology Clinical Instructor.
The Yale University Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging at the Yale School of Medicine is actively seeking motivated candidates for our MBA Fellowship program while working in our thriving and progressive Emergency & Trauma Division. The candidate will join our section of nineteen faculty who collectively provide contemporaneous, attending led emergency & trauma imaging services across Yale New Haven Health System: one of the largest academic health systems in the nation. The position is a joint position between the Yale School of Medicine and the Yale School of Management, where the candidate will obtain an MBA in the Yale MBA for Executives (Healthcare) program. The position is ideal for those who aspire to administrative radiology leadership positions in private or academic practice.
The clinical appointment is for 24 months with 22 months as a student at the Yale School of Management. Students will receive a comprehensive curriculum on business administration, including courses on managing teams, negotiation, micro and macroeconomics, accounting and corporate finance. There are also a number of opportunities to work in the Chair’s office on various projects including: operations, capital budgeting, compensation/incentive development, process/quality improvement, strategic planning, or marketing. There may also be scope to participate in similar projects in the hospital at large if the applicant chooses.
Protected time will be provided for the applicant to attend classes and all MBA events. The applicant may also take elective courses and become involved in projects at the Yale School of Management and across the entire Yale University campus.
The clinical instructor will receive a competitive salary and full tuition reimbursement for the MBA for Executives program. In addition, any extra shifts voluntarily worked in the Emergency & Trauma section will be compensated at the standard departmental rate.
Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree with completion of radiology residency and, ideally, subspecialist fellowship training. Interested applicants should be board-eligible and be able to obtain an unrestricted Connecticut license.
