The Department of Radiology, Henry Ford Health, is seeking a board certified, fellowship trained Neuroradiologist to join our well-established Division of Neuroradiology. The successful candidate would join a faculty of ten diagnostic neuroradiologists and three neurointerventionalists.

Henry Ford Health delivers care through its hospitals, medical centers and the Henry Ford Medical Group, with over 33 practice sites in southeast Michigan, in addition to 2,000 affiliated private-practice physicians. The system's flagship institution, Henry Ford Hospital (HFH), is an 877-bed tertiary care hospital, education and research complex in Detroit's New Center area. The hospital is recognized for clinical excellence and innovation, particularly in the fields of neurosurgery and neurology. Henry Ford Hospital also has one of the largest graduate medical education programs in the country with residency and fellowship programs in all major medical surgical specialties including all Neurology, Neurosurgery, Emergency medicine, ENT and Ophthalmology.

Henry Ford Hospital is a level 1 trauma system and an NIH designated Stroke Center. The Neuroscience Institute, one of the top programs in the country, includes a National Institutes of Health Stroke Care and Research Center, a comprehensive epilepsy and movement disorder program, DBS neurosurgery program, large neurovascular programs, one of the largest comprehensive neurosurgery spine programs in Michigan, and the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center.

The diagnostic practice includes brain, spine, and head and neck imaging. HFMG sites perform over 1,000,000 examinations annually. The Neuroradiology Division also provides imaging expertise at multiple comprehensive tumor boards, including spine, brain, and head and neck, as well as active involvement in a number of multidisciplinary conferences which are held in the Neuroradiology Division.

The department operates 26 MDCT scanners, including four CT fluoroscopic units for interventions, three PET/CT scanners, 16 1.5T MR, four 3T MR units, and one intra-operative MRI.

The Department of Radiology enrolls 9 residents, 2 Neuroradiology fellows, and 1 Neuroendovascular fellow each year. Henry Ford physicians can receive academic appointments from Wayne State University based on academic qualifications. Additionally, Henry Ford Health System has recently formed an exciting partnership with Michigan State University Health Sciences, which promises to offer many opportunities for clinical care, research, and education.  Willingness and ability to teach and supervise medical students, residents and fellows is necessary. Ideally, the successful candidate will be interested in academic pursuits.

The candidate must be an ABR board certified fellowship-trained radiologist with a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in neuroradiology. The candidate should be skilled in spine procedures (LP, myelography, and discography), pain management (epidurals, nerve/facet injections), and image guided biopsies (CT/US).  Vertebroplasty/spine augmentation skills are a plus.

The candidate must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Radiology residency program and must have completed or be currently completing an ACGME/AOA approved Neuroradiology fellowship program.
