The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a nuclear medicine trained physician to join the Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics Section within the department. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology training program in the country. To accomplish this, the department seeks candidates who have clinical expertise in nuclear medicine. Clinical services in the section include all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in nuclear medicine, including PET/CT, PET/MRI, molecular targeted systemic therapy, and nuclear cardiology. The selected candidate will provide clinical services primarily at the UCSF Moffitt/Long and Mission Bay Hospitals, but may also include clinical work at other UCSF Health and UCSF affiliated sites.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, and completion of specialty training in Nuclear Medicine leading to certification by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (or eligible).
