Job Summary:
The University of IL, Department of Radiology in University of IL college of Medicine at Chicago seeks a dedicated and innovative Radiologist specializing in Radiology Informatics. This position combines clinical radiology with a strong focus on the integration and optimization of radiological data and technology. The successful candidate will engage in clinical practice, education, and the development of informatics solutions to enhance radiology services.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice:
Provide high-quality radiological services in any of the radiology modalities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Radiology Informatics:
Radiology lead for UI Health’s enterprise-wide imaging initiative.
Radiology lead for UI Health’s AI initiative.
Lead other initiatives to optimize radiology workflows and enhance the use of imaging data and technologies.
Develop and implement informatics solutions for image management, reporting, and data analysis.
Analyze and interpret complex datasets to improve diagnostic accuracy and operational efficiency.
Research (optional):
Conduct and collaborate on research projects related to radiology informatics, including imaging biomarkers, artificial intelligence applications, and data integration strategies.
Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
Education and Training:
Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in radiology and informatics principles.
Mentor junior faculty and trainees in informatics projects and research initiatives.
Leadership and Service:
Participate in Health enterprise committees, departmental committees and initiatives related to informatics and technology adoption.
Collaborate with IT and administrative teams to enhance the radiology information system and related technologies.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification (or eligibility) in Radiology.
Fellowship training or significant experience in Radiology Informatics is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of radiological data systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record in research and academic productivity.
