The Department of Radiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a qualified, fellowship trained radiologist in consideration for a remote 7 DAYS ON, 14 DAYS OFF evening position with very manageable volumes and highly competitive salary. This remote position has a Wednesday-Tuesday schedule (5PM - 3AM CST) with the following 14 days off. These hours are particularly favorable for west coast candidates (3PM-1AM PST). We currently employ 15 remote radiologists who have been with our department for many years to supplement our 30+ on-site staff radiologists. This remote position will complete our already established teleradiology division. A very collegial relationship exists with on-site radiologists including high value and support for our teleradiology positions.
This position primarily entails reading a mixture of both ER and inpatient studies. The successful candidate should have outstanding credentials and experience in the interpretation of CT, MR, ultrasound, and plain films with preference given to candidates who have previously completed a body imaging or emergency radiology fellowship. Neuroradiology/MSK fellowship trained candidates and those with general radiology experience will be considered. The position includes reading with the support of our excellent in-house residents. Candidates must be comfortable interpreting imaging studies outside of their primary subspecialty. However, this position is coupled to a fellowship trained neuroradiologist during all hours of the shift and additional swing shift radiologist coverage until 10 pm to keep imaging volumes manageable.
Our department utilizes state-of-the-art equipment in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. Enjoy an outstanding lifestyle without sacrificing image quality or professional satisfaction in a progressive department cognizant and supportive of work-life balance in radiology.
