The USC Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention fellowship is a one-year program that provides a robust clinical and educational experience across 5 major facilities: Keck Hospital of USC, HealthCare Consultation Center, LAC + USC Medical Center, Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital, and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.
We utilize many modalities, including plain radiography, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, for diagnosis and follow-up of a wide range of pathologies in the musculoskeletal system in our oncology, sports medicine, rheumatology, infection, and trauma services. Additionally, a busy tumor service ensures our fellows also gain experience in PET-CT and bone scintigraphy.
As a major academic referral center, our division boasts a busy tumor, sports-medicine, and rheumatology practice; While the LAC + USC Medical Center offers a unique experience in musculoskeletal trauma, infection, and oncology primarily among an indigent patient population.
We enjoy excellent relationships with our referring orthopedic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, rheumatologists, and infectious disease specialists, and participate in multi-disciplinary conferences. Inter-departmental educational conferences as well as ample research opportunities, with support from our division staff, are available to our fellows.
Our fellows are well-prepared to function optimally in both academic and private practice settings, with their careers supported by a wide alumni network in California, our surrounding states, and nationally.
The University of Southern California strongly values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity in employment. Women and men, and members of all racial and ethnic groups, are encouraged to apply.
We are currently accepting applications for one position for the 2022-2023 academic year. For an application, please contact our fellowship coordinator, Kevin Pacheco.
