Due to ongoing clinical growth, the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology invites applications for a faculty appointment in the Neuroimaging Division. Our preferred candidate is an academically accomplished neuroradiology physician with superb clinical skills including basic spinal procedure skills. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with university appointments available. Our faculty serve as core members of the USF Health Department of Radiology Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology residency programs and are eligible for academic appointments at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
Moffitt’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently employs 60 clinical faculty, including 5 neuroradiologists. A variety of research and teaching opportunities are available. The Imaging Research program receives approximately $7 million of NIH funding per year and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analysis with mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided, with PhD-level scientists employed by the department to assist clinical faculty in their research efforts.
Diagnostic Imaging Division operates 10 CT, 11 MRI, 4 PET/CT, 4 SPECT/CT, 4 Gamma Cameras, along with a robust Radionuclide Therapy Program. Faculty members participate in 17 disease-focused multidisciplinary clinical conferences each week. All Moffitt investigator-initiated clinical trials include a radiologist co-investigator.
Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Cancer Center includes a large, 3 facility ambulatory care practice, a 110-bed medical oncology hospital, a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, a 128-bed surgical hospital with 19 state-of-the-art operating suites, a high-volume screening program, and a basic science research facility.
Applicants must have an M.D./D.O. Degree, a Florida medical license (or eligible), and board certification in diagnostic radiology with certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology.
