We’re looking for qualified Breast Imaging Radiologists who are passionate about
delivering high-quality care and want to contribute to a supportive, forward-thinking
healthcare system. Your responsibilities will include reporting on breast imaging
studies alongside a broad mix of complex clinical cases, interpreting and reporting
CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, and MRI studies and participating in multi-disciplinary
meetings.
You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals in a collaborative, mult-disciplinary
setting, where your skills and experience will be valued and supported.
About the Team/Service
Now is the perfect time to join New Zealand’s national breast screening programme,
BreastScreen Aotearoa. Health New Zealand is making major investments in this
service, including expanding the free screening age range from 45 - 69 to 45 - 74,
and introducing a new ICT system.
Expanding the age eligibility means:
More women will be screened More breast cancers will be detected early More lives will be saved! These roles offer the chance to work in a welcoming, friendly, and supportive

What you will need
To practise as a Radiologist (Senior Medical Officer) in New Zealand, you must be
registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand and hold a current Annual
Practising Certificate (APC). Our team can guide you through the registration
process and ensure a smooth transition.

Salary and benefits
We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits, including:
• Medical Officers: NZD $142,000 – $210,000 (US $79K – 118K) per year (plus
allowances)
• Medical Specialists: NZD $185,000 – $267,000 (US $104K – 150K) per year
(plus allowances)
• 6 weeks annual leave + 12 public holidays
