Are you considering a career in the exciting and dynamic subspecialty of Emergency Radiology and want to become more knowledgeable and proficient in imaging for emergent and traumatic conditions? Are you considering applying for Emergency Radiology Fellowship training in the United States?
If so, please note that effective with the current application cycle, for training positions July 2027-June 2028, Emergency Radiology fellowships will be complying with the SCARD Embargo process rather than the NRMP Match. See the timeline below for essential dates! The embargo dates do not apply to all applicants - see the exceptions listed below the table. Grace Period
Applicants have until noon eastern standard time Jan 28th to accept or decline any offer made before Jan 28th. For any offer made after Jan 28th the candidate has a 1 day grace period (noon eastern standard time) to accept or decline the offer.

Exceptions to the embargo (applications can be considered and offers made outside of the above timeline):
Internal candidates.
Military candidates.
Applicants whose spouse/domestic partner is also applying for a medical fellowship in the same year.
International candidates – international candidates are defined as applicants from programs that are neither ACGME or RCPS programs(i.e. Canadian applicants are NOT excluded from the embargo.)
Applicants are required to have successfully completed and graduated from Radiology residency prior to fellowship start date.
The American Society of Emergency Radiology is the national society working to advance the quality of diagnosis and treatment of acutely ill or injured patients by means of medical imaging and to enhance teaching and research in emergency radiology. The Fellow Education Committee guides fellowship programs in Emergency Radiology throughout the United States.
